CWTC held our annual “CWTC Bowl-A-Thon” fundraiser at Landmark Recreation Center in Peoria, Saturday, March 16, 2019! All money raised goes directly to programs and services for CWTC consumers. Thank you for your support!

CWTC is proud to announce their annual “CWTC Bowl-A-Thon” fundraiser at Landmark Recreation Center in Peoria. Their premier spring event is scheduled for Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 9:00AM to 12:00PM and entries are now being accepted.

Individual and groups are welcome to play. Individual registration is $20 and includes three games and shoes. There will be raffles and fun activities. All money raised goes directly to programs and direct services for CWTC consumers.

It was another great night at the CWTC Super Trivia Challenge, Friday, January 18, 2019 at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Conference Center in East Peoria. This year, the event moves to the Embassy Suites Hotel & Conference Center in East Peoria. Doors open at 6:00PM and the trivia begins at 7.

October is also National Disability Employment Awareness Month, an opportunity to educate about disability employment issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities. CWTC Executive Director Patti Gratton along with Bill Adams, Employment Services Manager, and Rick Stephenson, Communications/PR Coordinator paid a visit to Steve Tarter of the Peoria Journal Star to talk about CWTC’s programs and services on Steve’s weekly podcast. CWTC held our 2nd Annual Make A Scarecrow – Make A Difference event, Saturday September 29th, in the CWTC parking lot at 3215 N. University Street in Peoria next to Walmart. Thank you for coming out and supporting adults with disabilities!

Community Workshop Training Center, Inc. presented their annual “CWTC Pathway Awards Dinner & Auction” Tuesday evening, September 11, 2018, at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center in East Peoria. The theme was “Sports and Teamwork,” with everyone dressing in their favorite sports attire. The evening festivities paid tribute to the many people who have helped CWTC and have contributed in extraordinary ways. New this year was a live auction, featuring online and in-person bidding. Tom Moran gave a moving tribute about his brother Tim, and our consumers walked away with very well-deserved accolades and smiles. It was a great night for everyone and you can catch some of the highlights HERE!

The first Inspiring Art Abilities Art Show was held at The Waterhouse in Peoria on Friday, March 11th. Our many talented artists produced stunning artwork. We appreciate you coming out to support their gifts with your donations and time. Thanks to the Metamora High School Jazz Ensemble for providing our wonderful music for the evening. A BIG thank you to Jody Tockes and the Hive for your patience, support and inspiration and providing our artists a true “Happy place” to create and explore. Also, thank you to the Community Foundation of Central Illinois for supporting this program through grant dollars.

Picasso, Monet, Dali and Van Gogh would have all been proud! It was a great night with a great turnout for our Inspiring Art Abilities Art Show @ The Hive on Friday, December 4th. CWTC consumers displayed their artwork while visitors took time to view their masterpieces. The attendees enjoyed some snacks while talking with the artists and learning about their techniques and inspirations. We appreciate those who came out and supported our adults with disabilities!
