The CWTC 2nd Annual Glow Ball Event was held Friday night, October 22nd at WeaverRidge Golf Club in Peoria. The event, sponsored by iT360, was as exhilarating as hitting a hole-in-one. Foursomes braved the darkness and  played 9 holes with glow-in-the-dark golf balls, illuminated greens, pins and hazards! As you can tell by the pictures, everyone had a great time. Thank you for supporting adults with disabilities!

In October, we wear pink in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All proceeds raised will be donated to Susan G. Komen.

 

Our annual “CWTC Pathway Awards Dinner,” was held Tuesday, September 14th at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Conference Center in East Peoria. The comfortable and casual evening celebrate the accomplishments of adults with disabilities and in recognition of the community we have served for over 61 years. Thank you for supporting adults with disabilities!

In 2020, we enjoyed a modified Thanksgiving Luncheon, and
presented a few achievement awards that we would normally present
at our annual dinner in September.

At the end of the presentations, the staff from Caterpillar Morton
presented CWTC with a very cool bench, commemorating our 60th
anniversary. The entire bench was made from Caterpillar parts!

October is also National Disability Employment Awareness Month, an opportunity to educate about disability employment issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities. CWTC Executive Director Patti Gratton along with Bill Adams, Employment Services Manager, and Rick Stephenson, Communications/PR Coordinator paid a visit to Steve Tarter of the Peoria Journal Star to talk about CWTC’s programs and services on Steve’s weekly podcast. We’re looking forward to seeing you at a very special Pathway Awards and Dinner, Tuesday September 11th at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Conference Center in East Peoria. We are having a “sports” theme this year, so we are asking our attendees to “sport” their favorite sports team apparel or team colors. We will be honoring our “MVP’s”, the consumers, that have made extraordinary achievements this year and our “fans”, community partners, that have supported us throughout the year. To help make this a successful event, we would love to have all our friends, families, and community members join us in making this a “World Championship Event!”
