CWTC Paints A Plow

CWTC continued our 60th Anniversary celebration giving back to the community by “Painting A Plow” earlier today in the CWTC parking lot.

The city of Peoria Public Works Paint a Plow program allows Peoria organizations to paint a Peoria Public Works snowplow blade with messages of winter, snow and ice safety, City or community pride or patriotism. CWTC Inspiring Artist program consumers Shanika and Jeff painted the metal canvas, in collaboration with the Peoria Art Guild and Jody Tockes from the Hive providing oversight and instruction. The project was made possible through the Peoria Art Guild’s Community Arts Grant.

The blades will be mounted to a plow truck and used to fight snow and winter weather. Look for ours, hopefully, not too soon!
